Where is Avito Knitwear based?

Our boutique operates from Tramore, County Waterford, Ireland. You can collect your order from our doorstep, also all our products are shipped from here, so no customs or duty surprises at the door if you live within EU borders.

Is your wool knitwear handmade?

All our products are partially hand made. 

Single knitted pieces are done by knitting machine e.g. front, back and sleeves of a jumper. Then stitched together by hand. All faux fur elements are also hand made into pom-poms and stripes, then attached manually as well as all the buttons and other decorative elements of our wool knitwear. 

Where does your knitwear come from?

With attention to the smallest details we design every piece from our collection. Highest quality wool blends and artificial fur that we use come from Italy and have GRS and OEKO-TEX certification. This basically means that all the fabrics are organic, fully tested, free of hazardous dyes and are safe and environmentally friendly. All other items like buttons or ECO leather come from Polish manufacturers. It is all put together in a small, family run knitting workshop located in the heart of Poland.

Why do you manufacture abroad?

Highest quality and affordability are the foundation of Avito Knitwear. As much as we would love to support Irish business by manufacturing our product in Ireland, it is impossible to find someone who could deliver the highest quality product at a reasonable price here. 

I've received my order and I need to exchange it. I need a different Size/colour

We don’t offer exchanges right now. You can place a new order to get the item of your choice while it’s still in stock and return your unwanted item to us for a refund (T&C apply).

What size should I order?

We provide detailed descriptions of every product on its individual page. That includes handy tips regarding fitting and sizes. There also is a general Size Guide available at the bottom of every page throughout the website. Don’t worry if the item you received doesn’t fit right! We offer a 14 days full refund policy (T&C apply).

An item I want is out of stock, What can I do?!

If a particular color/size of any item is out of stock we give you the option to pre-order. There is a pre-order button on every product page on our website. Pre-ordered items will be added to your shopping bag. We will only process a pre-order if the item is fully paid for, so it is important that you complete your purchase at the checkout. Your pre-ordered item will be delivered to you within 10 working days.

Do you ship outside of Ireland?

Yes, we ship worldwide!

Born in 2001, Associazione Tessile e Salute protects consumers, manufacturers, agencies and organizations who take to heart the safety of the textile and footwear sector and the preservation of Made in Italy.

It works in synergy with the Italian Health Department, the Anti Adulteration Health Unit (NAS), the local health authorities and the Public Prosecutors to prevent and fight the spread of harmful products on the market. It’s about to become Osservatorio Nazionale Tessile – Abbigliamento – Pelle – Calzature. (National Textile Observatory – Apparel – Leather – Footwear)
